-Each game will consist of two twenty-five (25) minute halves.
-Halftime is 2 minutes long. NO TIME OUTS
- Every team will play at least 5 games.
-All teams need to be warmed up and prepared to start your game immediately at the scheduled time.
-Time will be kept at the tournament headquarters.
-Start and stop all games on the sound of the horn.
-1 long blast will signify beginning and end of each half.
-Overtime is BRAVEHEART- 4V4- Goalie and 3 Middies-one player must stay back
-Overtime will end when a goal is scored or last 4 minutes. At 4 minutes time, no goal scored, game will end in a tie.
- Game Referees will keep Braveheart time.
-If you are a mixed grade level team- your team must be placed in the higher grade level the players are currently in. Your team will not be allowed in the championship round or game if we find you have misrepresented your team.
-8 players are required to start a game.
-A team not ready to play 5 minutes after the horn will forfeit.
-Forfeit game score is 7-0.
-All players are required to be US Lacrosse Members.
-All teams must turn in a completed roster.
-All teams play in a pool within their division.
-Playoff seeding is based on performance within their pool.
-Each team is awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.
-There is no benefit to running up a score.
-Please show sportsmanship if you have a comfortable lead.
A. If two teams are tied and they’ve played each other, head- to- head competition will be used.
B. If three or more teams are tied, or A does not break a tie between two teams, the following criteria will be used: 1. Fewest goals allowed (GA). 2. Most goals scored (GF). 3. Greatest winning margin (i.e., total goal differential). 4. Coin toss.
-Game Referees will keep the official score.
-Officials will record the score and coaches will sign-off on them.
-All penalties are 1 minute.
-All penalties will be kept by officials on the field.
REMINDER : UNSPORTMANLIKE BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY ANY SPECTATOR OR PLAYER
-Any fighting or flagrant disrespect toward and official will result in expulsion for the remainder of the tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS, NO REFUNDS.
-National HS Federation rules apply for all ages and divisions.
-High School Counts will be used for the High School Varsity and JV Divisions.
-20 second clearing rule and 10 second offense advancing rule (HS only)
-No counts will be used for the youth divisions.
-Except goalie 4 second crease count.
-Substitution on the fly
-Over and back will be called at all levels
-ALL LEVELS: No 2 minutes keep it in. Referees are encouraged to call delay of game if teams are stalling with a lead. The call will be to get it in and then keep it in.
-Each team must have a non-playing adult (21 years or older) designated as its coach.
-Each team will limit the number of coaches in the bench area to two.
-Protests regarding games or their outcome will not be entertained. Questions must be addressed with referees at the field.
-Tournament Director will make final rulings/decisions on any and all problems or disputes.
-Tournament committee reserves the right to change tournament rules to accommodate unforeseen circumstances and to benefit the players.
-We reserve the right to shorten games or cancel games due to inclement weather.
-In the event play is suspended on Saturday due to weather, the Tournament -Director will decide how to determine Sunday playoff positioning.
-In the event of an injury on the field as time expires-if injury could influence the outcome of the game the field supervisor has the discretion to add time to complete the game.
PLEASE CLEAN UP BENCH AREAS AFTER EACH GAME. Each coach is asked to ensure that the bench area is picked-up after each game. Trashcans are available near the bench areas.
EACH TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING WATER CONTAINERS TO THE TOURNAMENT.
